What’s more, Protein Pudding is fortified with additional amino acids to promote satisfactory muscle growth, and more importantly – prevent muscle breakdown as well.

Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC)

Whey Protein Concentrate is a byproduct of the process of producing cheese, and has been known to promote health benefits ever since 420 B.C. Today, WPC is considered the gold standard among professional trainers worldwide, as its benefits range from supporting the immune system, helping athletes to preserve lean muscle tissue, promoting healthy blood pressure levels, and more.

In particular, Whey Protein Concentrate contains a high concentration of all the essential amino acids that you need for muscle growth. Plus, WPC contains the three staples of healthy muscle building: Leucine, Glutathione, and Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA). Leucine and CLA are very helpful if you’re trying to maintain optimal weight, while glutathione has been shown to protect your cell and the mitochondria within from both peroxidative and oxidative damage.

Whey Protein Concentrate contains the “L” form of Leucine. L-Leucine sends a signal to the mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) to kick-start muscle protein synthesis and therefore significantly increase lean muscle growth. Here comes the interesting part: in order to achieve these benefits just on L-Leucine alone, you’d need a far greater dosage than the daily recommended value (RDA), since most of the ingested L-Leucine gets used to build new protein blocks instead of being the desired anabolic (muscle growth) stimulant. And this is where Whey Protein Concentrate comes into play.

WPC contains more L-Leucine than most of the other leucine-rich foods – hence it’s the ideal choice to stimulate anabolic growth in a fast and 100% safe way. Just 85 grams of WPC contain around 8 grams of L-Leucine; in comparison, to get that much L-Leucine from other foods, you’d have to eat around 600 grams of chicken, 450 grams of almonds (more than 3000 calories), or 16 raw eggs.

WPC is also a great source of the precursors of Glutathione. This compound is one of the most powerful antioxidants in the body. Scientifically speaking, glutathione is a tripeptide that can be found in every single cell of your body.

In addition, Glutathione is also a crucial player in detoxification, the usage of energy throughout the body, and the prevention of multiple diseases linked to aging. In order to grasp how important Glutathione is for the normal functioning of the human body, let’s take a look at what a deficiency of this compound is linked to:

  • Age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, and dementia
  • A number of autoimmune diseases
  • Inflammatory conditions such as asthma, arthritis, and other
  • Muscle weakness and muscle fatigue
  • Cancer

However, glutathione is highly dependent on ATP (adenosine triphosphate) – hence lower ATP levels lead to lower glutathione levels as well. This is yet another reason among many why a regular workout is crucial to maintaining a healthy body: it provides a significant boost to your glutathione and ATP levels. All of this eventually strengthens your immune system and leads to a healthier and happier you.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

CLA is an omega-6 fatty acid that offers a variety of benefits to the body, including:

  • Stimulating, urging, and increasing the burning of fat
  • Increasing satiation
  • Preserving lean muscle mass (especially when combined with high intensity exercise)
  • In addition, Conjugated Linoleic Acid also plays a major role in fighting against:
  • High blood pressure
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Osteoporosis
  • High triglycerides and high cholesterol
  • Inflammation
  • Food allergies
  • And more

Calcium Casein

Calcium Casein is a type of protein derived from the casein in dairy products or milk. This protein type breaks down slower than whey protein, a process which provides a healthy and sustained release of amino acids even overnight.

Additionally, Casein is the nomenclature used to describe a wider group of proteins known as phosphoproteins. Phosphoproteins can be mainly found in mammalian milk, and they represent up to 80% of protein in the milk from cows. Further, Casein is made out of essential amino acids, carbs, phosphorus, and calcium, and is very beneficial for trainers looking to reach their satiety levels faster than otherwise.

Finally, Casein is known to slow down digestion after intake, which can help professional athletes to prevent catabolism or the breakdown of muscle. Plus, this protein is comprised (among many other compounds) of L-Glutamine, an amino acid that is absolutely crucial in the building of muscle. There are no known side effects of including Calcium Casein into your nutritional plan to date.
